We know we promised to share more of our favorite spots around Dublin, and this week, we're excited to bring you two gems that truly delivered! From the rich, heritage flavors of F.X. Buckley, one of the world’s top steak destinations, to the cozy charm of Bibi's Café for a relaxed brunch, each visit was an experience in itself. Here’s a look at what we loved and why we’ll be back for more!

F. X. Buckley.

It is the world’s 101 best Steak Restaurants and we definitely confirm that!

From field to fork, they choose heritage breeds from local Irish farmers that are grass fed.

What We Ordered:

We ordered the F.X. Buckley Caesar Salad as a starter, which contained aged parmesan and crowe’s smoked bacon. The salad was incredibly fresh and it was the perfect, flavorful kickoff to the meal.

As a main dish, we tried their Rib Eye and Striploin with potato gratin and beef dripping chips as a side dish. The meat quality was exceptional—tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked to accentuate the deep, rich flavors of each cut. While each bite of steak was definitely impressive, the potato gratin stole the show. Its rich, buttery taste provided the perfect complement to the intense flavors of the beef, making it the highlight of the meal.

To complement the meal, we chose a bottle from their well-curated wine selection, and it proved to be an ideal pairing. The wine’s deep notes beautifully enhanced the flavors of the Rib Eye and Striploin making it the perfect addition to our meal and of course, to the cozy ambiance.

The atmosphere at F.X. Buckley’s was warm and inviting, with a cozy, classic style that made us feel at home. The lighting was soft, and the rustic decor gave the space a relaxed yet elegant vibe—perfect for enjoying a great meal.

This blend of cozy elegance and professional service made it a memorable evening from start to finish.

Bibi’s café

Bibi’s Café is a beloved neighborhood spot tucked away in Dublin’s Portobello area, known for its cozy vibe and eclectic, welcoming decor.

What We Ordered:

Brunch at Bibi's was a treat, especially with their French toast done in two delicious styles.

We first tried their well-known rich and smooth coffee and then, ordered two French toast’s, one topped with crispy bacon and another with a vibrant raspberry sauce. The French toast itself was soft and golden, with a subtle sweetness that made each bite satisfying. The bacon added a wonderful salty flavor that paired perfectly, giving it a unique, savory touch.

On the other hand, the raspberry sauce brought a burst of freshness, balancing the making it feel light and fruity.

Both options offered their own unique flavors and we also considered the atmosphere to be very cozy, relaxing, and feeling like a charming getaway. The space was very warm and inviting and the staff was very friendly.

We really enjoyed our leisurely brunch and will definitely visit again!
